Is this free to use?
Yes. There is no account, no trial and no payment. Rate limits are applied per visitor so that one person cannot slow the service down for everyone else.
Am I allowed to download these videos?
Only when you own the content or have permission from whoever does. Downloading copyrighted material without a licence breaks the terms of service of every platform listed here, and may be illegal where you live. Use this tool for your own uploads, for content released under an open licence, or where the rights holder has said yes.
Why is a private video not working?
Anything behind a login, a friends-only setting or an age gate cannot be reached, because the server visits the link as an anonymous guest. If a video is not visible in a logged-out browser, it will not be downloadable here.
Where do my downloads go?
Straight to your device, through your browser. Files are streamed as they are fetched, so nothing is archived on the server, and any temporary file created for merging is deleted as soon as the transfer finishes.
Why do some videos not offer 4K?
Only the qualities the platform actually published are listed. If the uploader never provided a 4K version, the highest option shown will be whatever does exist.
